Anwar grew up in a small village in Somalia. When he was a child, he had to walk miles daily to find clean water and carry it back to his village for his family Sometimes, the animals in the village died because of drought. When Anwar grew up, he became a water engineer and today he helps African villagers make wells with clean water. NCC, a documentary film company, have made a film about how climate change is causing drought in many places in Africa. The film, called The Big Water Shortage, hopes to raise awareness about how difficult people's lives are when they don't have clean water. Anwar is in the film and it shows him trying to help poor villagers who need wells for water. He talks about how people go hungry because they can't grow food. When there is a severe drought, they have to leave their homes, sometimes forever. The Big Water Shortage will make people think twice about leaving the tap running or wasting precious water in any other way.
