Как говорить правильно? Thank или Thanks? Можно ли говорить "Thanks you"?

Правильно говорить Thanks и нельзя говорить Thanks you можно только Thank you

Thank - благодарить
thank you - благодарю тебя
thanks = thank you = благодарю тебя

поэтому thanks you - тавтология
